Calendar Generator
You can get access to the Calendar Generator either through Creating a New Chart from the Splash screen or by clicking on the Generate Calendar Button on the Worksheet Menu. First Calendar Columns:
The first calendar Column Cell M3 is used as the reference to create the calendar. By default, the original template calendar starts from this cell. You do not need to change this entry if you have not added additional ROWS above Row 3 or if you have not added new Columns before Column M. Should you have inserted new ROWs or Columns, make sure you key in the correct first Cell Reference of the Calendar you want to start with. Take note wrong entries will make you Gantt Chart behave incorrectly as each cell has a formula to ensure the correct plotting of the Gantt Chart. The advice is not to add any new Columns or Rows unless you are very familiar with how XL-EasyGantt function and the formula used in it. Should you have accidentally mess up your chart, you can use the New Chart function to create a new chart based on the XL-EasyGantt V2.3 original template.
Project Calendar/Start Date and Project Calendar/ End Date:
You can click on the button next to the date fields to launch the Calendar Picker to choose the dates. By default the date in the Calendar is set to Today. You cannot choose a End Date before the Start Date. These Dates will be stored for re-use later, saving you the needs to re-select them when you want to re-generate the views. There is a limit of about 230 columns available for the Calendar. So depends on your display preference, your Calendar can either show up to 230 days or 230 weeks. Calendar Interval Style:
You can choose to display your Gantt Chart Calendar in Daily View or Weekly view. Choose whichever is most suitable for you. Even after you have started to enter your project schedule, you can still launch the Calendar Generator to change the Gantt Chart Calendar view style.
After you have entered all you choices, click Generate Calendar to generate the calendar. |
