Insert Tasks
(Shortcut ALT Insert)

To insert one or multiple new tasks above a
task. |

Select the task where you want to have a new
task inserted above it. Click the
Insert Task button (or ALT Insert).
A Task Level dialog box will appear

Enter the number of new tasks to insert
and select the task level.
Alternatively, you can highlight more than
one row of tasks and click the Task Insert (or ALT Insert)
to insert multiple tasks.
Example below will insert 3 new tasks
above task 1.1.1

Note:
Inserting tasks will affect your predecessors selections.
Predecessors will not be adjusted automatically.

Delete Task
(Shortcut ALT Del)

Highlight the task that you wish to delete
Click the Delete Task button or ALT -Del
You can only delete one task at a time.
Note:
Deleting task will affect your predecessor selections.
Predecessors will not be adjusted automatically. |
Promote Tasks
(Shortcut ALT Left Arrow)

Highlight the task or multiple tasks that you
wish to promote Click the Promote
Task button or ALT -Left Arrow
All related sub tasks will also be
promoted. |
Demote Tasks
(Shortcut ALT Right Arrow)

Highlight the task or multiple tasks that you
wish to demote Click the Promote
Task button or ALT -Right Arrow
All related sub tasks will also be
demoted. |
Auto Tasks Filtering
(Shortcut CTL-Shift F)

Click the Task Filter button or CTL-Shift F
to activate Tasks Filtering A Task
Level Filter dialog box will be shown and a drop down button
will also be displayed for each header.
You can use the Task Level Filter or the
click on the drop down button to filter the tasks according
to your preferred criteria.
To turn it off, click the Task Filter
button again.

Summary Tasks

Summary Tasks are tasks consisting of sub-tasks. They are shown as a narrow arrow above its sub tasks
on the Gantt chart. A warning will
be shown if you have chosen a summary tasks as the
predecessor of another task. |
Auto Task Remarks Comments

When you enter a comment in the Remark
column, a comment will also be automatically created in the
Tasks column for that task for easier reading. |
Task Owner
 |
Click on the drop down box on the task owner
column. You can select the Task owner for this task.
The task own list can be maintained in the
Data Sheet. Note that any changes to the existing resource
names in the Data sheet will not be automatically updated
for the tasks that already have the task owners selected.
They will only apply to the new tasks owner selections. |
Task Status

Click on the drop down box to select the task
status. The percentage of completion will be shown on the
Gantt chart (Buddies and Professional version only) |
Tasks Date Tracking & Highlights
 |
Start date or Finish date will be highlighted
in Red if there is an date error or if one of the Start date
or Finish date has not been entered. |
 |
The Task Level Column is highlighted in
different colors for easier task tracking.
Red: Task is overdue: Current date is > Tasks
Start and Finish Date
Green: Current Task: Current date is >
Task's Start date but earlier than Finish date
Blue: Future Tasks: Task's Start Date >

Auto Tasks Grouping
(Shortcut CTL Shift G)

Available for the buddies and professional
version only. Click on the Tasks
Group button or press CTL Shift G on the keyboard to
activate Tasks Group.
You can click on the + or - icon to expand
or collapse the group. |
Auto WBS
 |
Available for the buddies and professional
version only. WBS will be
automatically generated based on the task level. |
