Edmas Neo,
PMP

Edmas Neo has over 10
yeas of IT project management and business process consulting
experience and was working as the Director of Global Services &
Project Management for an eProcurement company. He was heavily involved in providing consultation, the design
and the implementation of eProcurement and eInventory solutions for
businesses at a global scale.
He had helped to transform and automate the procurement
processes for a number of prestigious hotel chains and businesses.
He had worked with diverse International teams and has a good
understanding of different working cultures. The projects he managed
covered multiple countries that include Switzerland, Germany, United
Kingdom, The Maldives, Thailand, China and Singapore.
Edmas graduated
with a Bachelor Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from
Nanyang Technological University in 1996. During his final year
in the university he set up a web hosting and service company
together with his partner and capitalized on the growing trend of
Internet presence. Together they created one of the earliest
Singapore Internet directory,
Singlinks, and started a Chat service. SingChat was popular with
the early Internet community in Singapore.
He achieved his
credentials as an IBM Certified Solution Expert-Firewall (IBMCSE)
and a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) while working with
a subsidiary of
IBM in Singapore. As an IT consultant he was heavily involved in
the provision of network, security and Lotus Notes solutions to many
major organizations that include government agencies, insurance
companies, shipping companies and hospitals.
During his
employment with
Pacific Internet Ltd as an eCommerce Consultant he specialized
in providing IBM Net.Commerce and payment solution and was involved
in the designing of multiple B2C sites.
In 1999, he was
invited to join a well known property investor and hotel owner as a
eBusiness Development Manager to assist in the evaluation of
eBusiness proposals and had successfully assisted in the investment
with a Hotel Broadband service provider and facilitated a joint
venture with
Raffles Holdings to start-up an eProcurement Exchange for the
hospitality industry.
Edmas believes in
sharing his knowledge and contributing to the community. For a
period of two years, he was teaching the final year Business
Informatics students at the
Nanyang Polytechnic as a part-time lecturer. In end 2006 he was
invited to join the
Singapore National Infocomm Competency Framework (NICF) Expert Panel
and is currently contributing in the area of evaluation and
accreditation of courses and certifications.
